Ola Grimsby has received international recognition for his expertise as both a clinician and instructor in orthopedic manual therapy. He graduated from the Norwegian State Physiotherapy School and the Physical Therapy Department of Health in Oslo, Norway. In addition, he has completed postgraduate studies in mobilization with the Nordic Special Group for Manual Therapy and in Manual Therapy with the Norwegian Physical Therapy Association.

Mr. Grimsby is a certified manual therapy instructor in the Norwegian National Program. He has served as chairperson for the Nordic Group of Specialists in Manual Therapy and for the Instructors Council in the Norwegian Physical Therapy Associations Section in Manual Therapy. He was Norway’s first executive member of IFOMPT and a founding member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. He has authored numerous books and articles in several languages.

Ola Grimsby is also the Chairman of the Ola Grimsby Institute (http://www.olagrimsby.com/index.cfm) whose mission is to significantly impact the type of care available to orthopedic manual physical therapy patients. We do this by enabling our students, who are practicing manual physical therapists, to design scientifically-based treatments for the health of each individual patient, resulting in a reduced number of treatments and improved outcomes.
