Produce Safety and Security International, Inc. Announces Opening of First Midwest Contract Produce Food Safety Processing Operation; Company Provides Complete Food Safe Process Removing Food-Borne Illness Pathogens

Lewisville, TX - (WORLD STOCK WIRE) - May 5, 2008 -- Publicly traded Produce Safety and Security International, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PRSF) which provides solutions for the removal of e.coli.OH157:H7, listeria, salmonella from fresh and packaged produce announced today that the company will be opening its first Midwest food treatment center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

“Our first midwest food treatment center will provide a cost effective food safe processes for organic fresh produce meeting all the requirements of organic certification. We will provide chemical and pathogen free produce to help prevent outbreaks of illness," stated Clarence W. Karney CEO Produce Safety and Security International.

The food treatment center will be using a cost effective ozone process to prevent food borne pathogens and viruses and will provide certified food safe produce to the food industry. This specialized produce safety process will provide food safe produce on the truck or in the processing room. This process may also be performed on the truck backed up to the dock or trans loaded using the ozone air processing room to remove the food-borne illness pathogens.

"The use of our food safe process can help extend the shelf life 1 to 20 plus days depending on the commodity, thus reducing the spoilage and providing the retailer with a higher return. Sanitization of the trucks will greatly reduce the loss of produce and we will provide chemical testing by a third party. The main advantages are the removal of illness from fresh produce and reduction of loss from spoilage. If storage, trans-loading or store drop delivery is necessary, we are able to provide these services at a cost effective rate providing a higher return to retailer and sales agent. Additionally, our traceability program is provided from the this facility will be operational on or before June 2, 2008,” added Karney.
