Aquentium CEO, Mark Taggatz Discusses Recent Natural Disasters, Solution Capabilities, and World Government Preparedness
North Palm Springs, CA - (WORLD STOCK WIRE) - May 13, 2008 -- Aquentium, Inc. (OTCBB: AQNM) President and CEO, Mark Taggatz today discussed the recent natural disasters, solution capabilities, and world governments preparedness. Within the last two weeks, the Countries of China, Myanmar, and the United States have all been severely affected by natural disasters.
Bodies covered with sheets lined streets as rescue workers dug through schools and homes turned into rubble by China's worst earthquake in three decades in a desperate attempt to rescue victims trapped beneath concrete slabs. The official death toll rose Today to nearly 12,000, and thousands remained missing. A day after the powerful 7.9 magnitude quake struck, state media said rescue workers had only just reached the epicenter in Wenchuan county, stated Aquentium CEO Mark Taggatz.
In Myanmar, the government says about 62,000 people are dead or missing, but the U.N. has suggested the death toll is likely to be more than 100,000 from the devastating cyclone that struck 10 days ago, commented Taggatz.
In the United States, the tornadoes that ripped through the Midwest and South over the weekend killed about two dozen people make 2008 the deadliest year so far for twisters in a decade. Last weekend's storms devastated rural stretches of northeastern Oklahoma and southwestern Missouri. Tornadoes also touched down in Georgia, leaving 18,000 without power, stated Taggatz.
"It is our goal to work hand-in-hand with the federal and state governments, emergency management agencies, insurance companies, and private relief groups. Our solution is designed to change the response time and extensive costs associated to disaster victims. By providing a more durable, re-usable form of temporary housing, this will enable the quick support and infrastructure necessary for the devastated community and its victims," commented Taggatz.
"We continue to see a tremendous market worldwide as evidenced by these recent events for governments need for disaster relief housing structures throughout the world. We strongly encourage key government leaders in Asia, Africa, Europe, Central, South and North America to consider our emergency housing and office structures so that displaced citizens can be housed immediately during these tragic events, added Taggatz.
